Remote Sensing Applications Laboratory Website
The Remote Sensing Applications Lab (RSAL) is a facility for teaching, research, and public service applications of remote sensing, including aerial photography and satellite data in hardcopy image and digital formats. Applications have included land use and land cover mapping, urban growth studies, development siting, natural resource inventories, and environmental analyses. The lab houses an extensive collection of historical remote sensing imagery for the Puget Sound region. In addition to optical photo interpretation equipment, RSAL maintains image processing software systems such as ERDAS for analysis of remote sensing data.
